WESTCOAST FENCE |
|
Function
The WEST COAST FENCE is a handy, high-quality garden fence with a unique finish and a design based on the award-winning THE GREEN ELEMENT® concept.
The combination of thick willow rods, steel and well-seasoned timber ensures long life expectancy and clean lines – a vital design edge compared to traditional willow fencing.
Design
The fence is woven in ‘barked’ or ‘boiled and debarked’ willow. The rods are at least two years old and Grade 1 without shoots or damage. All willow is dried before the weaving is carried out. This ensures that the willow does not ‘dry up’ on the fence and prevents the weave becoming loose.

|
All known weaknesses from traditional willow fencing have been removed, e.g. also timber poles. The WEST COAST FENCE is only woven over steel pipes inlaid in the side post in pre-drilled holes. This gives a very strong and durable frame.

Life expectancy and maintenance
The WEST COAST FENCE with bark has life expectancy of up to 15 years. Fencing in debarked willow is generally more durable. The debarked willow ages like hardwood and achieves the shiny, steel-grey hue that characterises the beautiful and natural aging of wood surfaces.
All fences have been developed and designed to appear as natural fencing. This is why we do not recommend treating the wood. The strong materials ensure the fence’s durability, but only if ivy is planted by the fence. Ivy is supplied with every barked willow fence. Evergreen planting is not only suitable for the barked willow. It is also an important and indispensable part of ensuring that a willow fence can achieve a long life. If willow fencing is not planted with ivy, it will need to be treated annually with wood treatment products to achieve the expected life.

Installation
A simple and easy installation principle. The fence is supplied ‘with legs’ – everything that is required for installation is supplied on the delivery pallet. All that needs to be done is to dig the holes for the legs of the fence. The posts measure 2” x 4” and on installation create a harmonious 4”x4” post. An impressive visual whole is achieved with no additional posts to disturb the lines of the clean design.

Sizes and delivery
Three standard heights. Other dimensions and doors supplied as quoted. The standard width is 1 meter – this ensures that the fence is not too heavy to andle (a heavy quality is used in all materials). Delivered by courier nationally directly to installation site in Denmark.
